Verify your download

On Windows: certutil -hashfile AMBackup-0.9.2-es.msi SHA256 and compare the result. It must match exactly.
Portable version (ZIP)
If you would rather not install anything: download the ZIP, unzip it wherever you like (a USB drive, for example) and run AMBackup.exe. Profiles, keys and logs stay in that same folder, without touching the Windows registry.

SmartScreen warning. When you run the installer, Windows may show “Windows protected your PC”. Click More info → Run anyway. It is the usual warning for programs without a code signature, not a sign of a virus. If you prefer, you can scan the MSI with your antivirus before installing it.

What you need to install it
Space for backups
The program takes up about 120 MiB. Backup space depends on your data: the first backup is full and the following ones only add changes.
A destination
External or USB disk, another folder, network drive, SFTP server or S3 space. Nothing else: no ports to open and no agents to install.
Upgrading from an earlier version
The installer upgrades over the installed version, keeping profiles, schedules and saved keys. There is no need to uninstall first.
- Same UpgradeCode Windows recognises the previous version and replaces it.
- Data intact Profiles and history are preserved.
- No licence No keys and no activation: every feature is available.
Coming from the paid version?
Version 0.9.2 is free and unlocks everything. You do not need any key: if you had a licence, the app stops asking for it and carries on working just the same with your current profiles.
